Update: I finished the lattice quilt and gave to a cousin. She loved it. The Turning Twenty quilt was longarmed quilted by a friend and sent to Honduras for a worker at an orphanage.
I have always loved quilts, ever since I was small enough to stand up under Greatgrandma's quilt frame as she, my grandma, and great aunts quilted. I loved to study the feedsack fabrics that Greatgrandma used to piece her quilt tops. It was so rewarding to find two pieces that matched, but that didn't always happen! I love scrap quilts to this very day, and make sure that there's at least one patch that doesn't have a match in my own scrap quilts. I treasure Greatgrandma's Double Wedding Ring Quilt, which I was lucky enough to be the recipient of after much begging. Be sure to read the story of my quilt and other posts.
